Ooh, there’s a ReBoot reboot coíing? Capcom is making an HD remake of Killer 7?

My greatest dream would be an HD remake of killer7 released at the same time of a release of a HD release, complete with interviews from then and now, and fully restored (rerecorded/revisited…?) soundtrack of Wild Palms to go along with it.

(The actual progression of the ReBoot reboot I have no commentary on for right now.)

I’m sorry for the long bout of silence, but all of the fandoms I’m in have just become… something completely different and my hermitic self is trying to avoid them entirely.

Integrity announces the newest wave of Jem of the Holograms dolls!

Clash Montgomery (featuring quick switch & two extra heads!)

Video Montgomery

Danse Dvorak (with extra leotard outfit)

Regine Cesaire

Available now from licensed Integrity Toys dealers!

I’ve been saving up for Regine like mad and it’s completely worth it for how beautiful she is (she has my favorite design out of everyone!) but dang, I wish I could have seen Clash coming the way she is now because she would make an awesome addition.

Facial-wise, Danse is my favorite. She looks so much like her cartoon counterpart in that regard that it’s kinda hard to believe she and Pizzazz share the same sculpt.

I’m just boycotting the Jem Movie. Its not Jem. I don’t believe it even deserves a chance.

I’m just going to ignore it from here on out.

Yeah, the moment it was announced I was apathetic from the very start and I’ve been trying to ignore it…

I’m still sure that your attitude will change should it ever in the future seem that they cast The Misfits right.
Would you agree that those women could salvage this movie even if otherwise it was a complete disaster?

Maybe, I can’t really say! Again, they would be teenagers and they’re more relatable to me as adults, but like I said, I’ve no real opinion on it - anything can change at this point.

As much as I love the Misfits, there are aspects I love about the Misfits that probably wouldn’t make it into the movie because they’re subtly touched upon as the series goes on. With a movie, it’s harder to get all of that in such a short timeframe, so I can’t really say an announcement about them would change my mind or not…

I think my main gripe with it is that in my head, it doesn’t work as a live action series. It’s not bound to our real world standards, it’s a completely different universe with completely different rules, and having all of those surreal aspects doesn’t work much as live action in my own perception.

raggedy-whooves asked: "Isn't that more or less Hasbro's MO?"

I dunno, Jem is the only Hasbro series I’m into but it still doesn’t settle well with me.

raggedy-whooves asked: "I'm not a fan of Jem, but what Christy Marx thing?"

Hasbro shut her out from having any part in the movie production at all and didn’t even tell her about it.

Even if they didn’t make her the main part, it makes more sense to at least consult her on how to change it into a modern setting seeing as she helped create and flesh out the personalities of the characters themselves.

Yeah, the moment it was announced I was apathetic from the very start and I’ve been trying to ignore it the best I possibly can (thank you tumblr savior). It’s just easier to let it go on it’s way at this point and enjoy the things we really like about the series itself.

Don’t be like that, won’t you be happy when more people than ever are going to be anemored by these women?

In a way, yes! I’m all for series with the majority of the cast being women and really showing what women can do - which is the basic premise of Jem, but I just can’t find myself enthused about this project.

Maybe it will be better in practice than in theory, who knows? I can’t really make any comments at this point (except for the whole Christy Marx thing - which I don’t really approve of). I love the concept of the series staying contemporary, but a huge thing for me is the main cast being grown women and having many women be a main part of the crew. I’ve nothing against teenagers, but as it is, I can’t really relate to them… which is where a lot of my apathy comes from I think. Wether this movie goes down the ‘teeny-bopper’ route or not doesn’t really matter to me, it’s mostly just having characters I can personally relate to and feel attached to. That, tied in with the science fiction aspect (especially one where the women have way, way much more of a focus) is what really drew me to the series in the first place.

I really have no opinion either way and I’m not going to jump into any of the discussions unless it comes directly to me, which is why I’ve been so silent about the matter. I don’t mind if people want to see the movie, I don’t mind if it sparks tons of merch or more people getting into the original series and sparking even more interest, but me personally? There’s really no real reason for me to go see it or get excited about it at this point.

I’ve been playing/reading/watching (what is it called when it comes to visual novels) DRAMAtical Murder lately and I’ve really been enjoying the setting of the world itself.

Mostly how new technology doesn’t render old technology as obsolete. It’s great to see that kind of setting with a corporate overlord that generates high-end mind control technology and yet, everything outside of Platinum Jail still has a lot of old standards, especially when compared to the Allmates and Rhyme. I love seeing Aoba using a cordless phone with a clunky desktop computer when he’s at the junk shop and then pull out his Coil or Ren at the next second without thinking it’s outdated. That kind of mix of cyberpunk and cyberprep with a slightly 90s twist is right up my alley.

Anyway, I finished my first character route this morning (Mink - I absolutely loathed it) and so far, I’m highly impressed with a lot of the surreal/psychological symbology! It’s not something I expected to come out of it, but Aoba going deep into a character’s conscious to the pits of despair and having to pull the character’s out of there is a nice treat.

The yaoi itself doesn’t appeal to me, but it’s actually very few and far in between the storyline that it’s practically nothing and I can easily ignore most of it without missing much.
